The "8 VALKYRIES" project is a novel I'm writing that is inspired by and will be dedicated to the best all-female dance crew on this Earth that was on AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW Season 3, the BEAT FREAKS.

INSPIRATION...
While watching the first three seasons of AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW, I just couldn’t stop myself from being surprised and astonished, episode after episode.

As much as I adored every crew that has been on this show so far, one among them represented for me the perfect example of the words “determination”, “strength” and “truth”. They are none other than the BEAT FREAKS. As I followed their journey on the show, each time this group performed, it felt like blazes of fire were going through my mind, heart and soul and it kept saying to me to never give up on my goals. The most marking moment of the Beat Freaks that I saw was on the last episode when a tribute video was shown showing their long road on ABDC with the song “We Break The Dawn” by Michelle Williams and of all my life, I’ve never felt an incredible surge of willpower coming in in a powerful way from the bottom of my heart. Even though they haven’t won the title, it was the day for me that these B-Girls became role models and heroes that I truly admire.

AND THERE WAS LIGHT... VALKYRIES...
I was at work one day and I kept on reminiscing about how strong these women are, setting an example for girls and boys across the world. “These girls are like 8 Valkyries, y’know!” I said in my mind while I washed some dishes. That’s when a spark exploded exponentially into my mind, creating a story of its own. I was imagining the eight members of Beat Freaks as Valkyries, battle-maidens of the Norse mythology. When I got home after my work shift, I took notes on my computer to not forget this marvelous idea that I just got and a few days later, I bought a few notebooks and pens and started working on the project that I had titled, “8 VALKYRIES.”

I am the mind behind this story, but the Beat Freaks are the inspiration for it and so, once the story full written, it will not only be inspired by them, but also dedicated to them. If you can ever read this, thank you for giving strength, desire and inspiration to pursing my dreams. As much as everyone around me, friends and family, encourage me everyday to go forward, I truly believe these “Valkyries” gave me that last push that would make me run on that road set in front of me without ever looking back, not ever for a single second. If you guys can read this, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for inspiring me and giving me strength, but I will start, loll!
